Heritage Humane Society Invites Kids to a Monthly Movie Night That Helps Homeless Pets
Parents in the Williamsburg area looking for an evening activity for their children can also make a difference for animals in need through Heritage Humane Society's monthly Kids' Movie Night.
Held once a month at the shelter, the program gives children ages 6 to 12 the opportunity to spend an evening enjoying a family-friendly movie, pizza and popcorn, a pet-themed activity, and learning more about animal welfare. Attendees also have the chance to meet some of the dogs and cats currently waiting for homes.
Beyond providing a fun evening, Kids' Movie Night introduces children to animal welfare in an engaging, age-appropriate way. Meeting adoptable pets and learning about responsible pet care can help inspire compassion for animals while supporting the shelter's mission of finding loving homes for homeless dogs and cats.
Admission is $20 per child, with proceeds supporting the care of homeless pets at Heritage Humane Society.
The next Kids' Movie Night is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and the full schedule can be found on the Heritage Humane Society’s website.
Children are welcome to wear pajamas and bring a favorite blanket or pillow to make the movie even cozier. A refillable water bottle is also recommended.
Because space is limited, families are encouraged to register in advance.
