Terms & Conditions for Advertisers

Welcome to Tidewater Paws & Claws ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms & Conditions govern the purchase and use of advertising, business listings, sponsored content, and promotional opportunities offered through Tidewater Paws & Claws.

By subscribing to an advertising plan or purchasing advertising services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between Tidewater Paws & Claws and the advertiser regarding the advertising services described herein unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

1. Advertising Services

Tidewater Paws & Claws offers advertising opportunities designed to connect local pet-related businesses with our readers. Available services may include:

• Business Profile Listings

• Featured Listings

• Sponsored Articles

• Newsletter Sponsorships

• Social Media Promotions

• Event Sponsorships

• Other promotional opportunities

The features included with each advertising plan are described on our website and may change from time to time.

2. Subscription Billing

Advertising subscriptions are billed monthly unless otherwise stated.

By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your selected payment method until your subscription is canceled.

We may modify subscription pricing from time to time. Any price changes will apply only after reasonable advance notice and will not affect charges already processed.

3. Cancellation

Subscriptions may be canceled at any time.

Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial-month refunds will be issued.

Upon cancellation, advertising benefits, business profiles, and listings may be removed from Tidewater Paws & Claws.

4. Refund Policy

Advertising fees are generally non-refundable.

If Tidewater Paws & Claws is unable to provide the purchased advertising services due to our error, we may, at our sole discretion, issue a refund, account credit, or extend the advertising period.

5. Advertiser Responsibilities

Advertisers agree that all submitted information is:

• Accurate

• Truthful

• Current

• Lawful

• Owned by the advertiser or used with proper permission

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Logos

• Photographs

• Videos

• Business descriptions

• Promotional offers

• Website links

• Contact information

Advertisers are solely responsible for the accuracy of all submitted materials and for complying with all applicable laws and regulations.

6. Advertising Approval

Tidewater Paws & Claws reserves the sole and absolute right, in its sole discretion, to accept, reject, remove, suspend, or discontinue any advertisement, business profile, sponsored content, or promotional material at any time, with or without notice.

Acceptance of payment does not guarantee publication or continued placement.

We may refuse or remove advertising that we determine, in our sole discretion, is:

• Inconsistent with our mission or values

• Misleading or deceptive

• Offensive or inappropriate

• Unlawful

• Harmful to animals or pet owners

• Likely to damage the integrity, reputation, or credibility of Tidewater Paws & Claws

We may also decline or discontinue advertising from businesses or organizations whose conduct we believe is inconsistent with maintaining a respectful, trustworthy, and welcoming experience for our readers and the local pet community.

Our advertising decisions are final.

7. Editorial Independence

Advertising and sponsorship do not influence the editorial decisions of Tidewater Paws & Claws.

We retain complete editorial independence regarding all articles, reviews, recommendations, rankings, and other published content.

Advertisers may not require favorable editorial coverage as a condition of advertising.

8. Sponsored Content

Sponsored articles and promotional content will be clearly identified when required by applicable law or our editorial policies.

Tidewater Paws & Claws reserves the right to edit sponsored content for grammar, clarity, formatting, style, length, and consistency with our editorial standards.

9. Business Listings

Business listings remain active only while the applicable subscription is current.

Failure to maintain an active subscription may result in removal of the listing and associated advertising benefits.

10. Intellectual Property

Advertisers retain ownership of their trademarks, logos, photographs, and other original materials.

By submitting advertising content, advertisers grant Tidewater Paws & Claws a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, publish, modify for formatting purposes, and promote those materials solely for the purpose of providing advertising services.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tidewater Paws & Claws shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, business opportunities, goodwill, or data.

Our total liability arising from any advertising services shall not exceed the amount paid by the advertiser during the thirty (30) days immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Changes to Advertising Plans

We reserve the right to modify advertising plans, pricing, available features, benefits, or promotional offerings at any time.

When practical, subscribers will receive reasonable advance notice of material changes.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The most current version will always be posted on our website and updated terms will be emailed to current advertisers using the email on file. Continued use of our advertising services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
